Do you like problem solving and analysis? Help contribute to our performance audit program in assessing how the government implements some of its priority policies and programs. We are looking for someone who is committed to contributing to our vision of better public services, and our mission of independent and valued assurance and insights. You will bring an understanding of government and public sector operations, and ideally have experience in assessing government operations, programs, and policies. You will have the ability to think strategically and be a good analytical thinker, with strong client relationship skills. Your responsibilities within the performance audit team will include: Leading fieldwork through analysis and evaluation of evidence to support the delivery of a diverse range of performance audits over the Queensland Public Sector. Undertaking research (such as analysis over policies, frameworks and better practice approaches), and interviewing a range of stakeholders to understand review topics and identify gaps and improvement opportunities. Preparing presentations for internal and external audiences and contributing to drafting of reports to clients. Contributing to a range of other deliverables and initiatives across the QAO, such as the forward work plan. Building capability and mentoring staff within the performance audit team.
