The values that underpin our company culture are the drivers of our ongoing success: Agile Solution focused Respect for all people Integrity in the way we operate Reporting to the Business Unit Manager - Consumer, the Assistant Product Manager will assist the Consumer Product Manager with the following tasks and responsibilities: Pricing, Rebates and Claims Work closely with vendors to manage price lists and ensure products are entered and reflected accurately in the relevant systems. Update pricing for USD vendors in Pronto when the exchange rate changes (if required). Check and process retailer rebates and scan claims. Stock Management Review warehouse stock on a weekly basis and purchase stocking orders as required. Manage stock over 90 days and work with vendor to receive RMA numbers for Faulty, Discontinued and Stock Balancing rotations. Process customer return requests and submit onto the vendor. Work with vendor to ensure satisfaction with order placement and resolve any issues or obstacles. Work with the Sales team to assist them with enquiries. Provide quoting assistance as required to internal sales team and customers where required. Contract Management Understand terms and conditions in contract and ensure the information is communicated to all relevant departments. Customer Service Manage vendor workbench and resolve customer order issues by working with the relevant departments. Place sales orders and manage COD order placements. Make available all appropriate sales tools and information to the national sales teams. Communication Communicate at multiple levels regarding vendor operational changes. Ensure all departments are kept up to date with the progress of their enquiries in a timely manner through relevant tools. Meet with the vendor on a regular basis along with the Product Manager to review any issues, opportunities and plans. Make sure that a good vendor relationship is maintained at all times by meeting all vendor expectations. Reporting Running sales/stock reports to vendors as required. Understand the vendor claim process and work with vendor operations managers in raising claims onto the vendor. Good administrative skills and business writing skills. Sales background and skills. General industry experience. Good negotiation skills and business acumen. In-depth consumer electronic product knowledge an advantage. Ability to build strong relationships. Intermediate MS Office applications, specifically Excel.
