Assistant Project Officer - Policy Review and Implementation Division: Corporate Services Location: Sydney, NSW, AU, 2000 Expression of interest – Assistant Project Officer – Policy Review and Implementation Temporary opportunity until December 2025 We have an exciting opportunity for internal candidates to express interest in the Assistant Project Officer role in the Policy Review and Implementation team, within the newly established Funding, Policy, and Reform area. About the team The Funding, Policy and Reform area is responsible for leading the review of the Disaster Assistant Guidelines (DAG) as well as implementation reforms required to address the findings of the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) Review, including leading and communicating change to strengthen funding administration capability for DAG and DRFA measures within the Reconstruction Authority. About the role We are seeking an Assistant Project Officer – Policy Review and Implementation to support the delivery and coordination of research, analysis, reporting and administrative activities to support the broader DRFA review work program. This role will support the teams’ efforts in driving an effective and efficient transition approach for projects, programs, policies and operational changes as outlined in the DRFA Review. This role will assist the team in developing and monitoring project plans, developing communication initiatives and supporting informed decision making and planning across the agreed consultation and decision making forums. You will be required to provide project and operational support, review and analyse key materials, and update and collate documentation and records across the team. We are looking for an Assistant Project Officer with: Drive and motivation: commitment to achieving personal and professional work goals and identifying strengths and areas of growth. Deliver results: complete work tasks within set budgets, timeframes and standards and take the initiative to identify barriers and solutions where appropriate. Project Management: skills in the development of project planning and delivery resources and ensuring project delivery against agreed outcomes.
