Qantas Group Property manage a portfolio of over 2 million SQM across approximately 100 locations. The Property Development team plays a key role by providing comprehensive property project management services within the Qantas Group. The team works closely with a broad range of stakeholders and end users to deliver property solutions supporting all facets of the business to meet constantly evolving operational requirements and to assist the organisation in providing a premium Customer experience. The Assistant Property Development Manager position is an integral member of the Property Development team. This position will be responsible for assisting the Property Development Managers in the planning, development, and delivery of fit-for-purpose property-related projects for the Qantas Group, as well as taking responsibility for the delivery of projects of a smaller and less complex nature. Key responsibilities / deliverables will include delivering the projects within agreed program timelines, budget, quality, and in accordance with relevant legislation, codes, and standards. This will include managing project teams consisting of internal stakeholders and external consultants for the delivery, governance, and financial control of projects. In addition, you will be responsible for contractor management and control within our operating system, be the owner of our policies and procedures forms, and managing systems control and team accountability for safety, risk & project management systems. You’ll have – 2 years experience in related field Tertiary Qualifications/ bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline Demonstrated experience with contracting and supplier management e.g. sourcing, negotiating, risk minimisation. Project management skills with exposure to project and/or development methodologies. An understanding of financial evaluation principles and techniques. An understanding of the regulatory environment, with a willingness and ability to increase knowledge base. Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects, effectively prioritise and work to deadlines. Ability to work autonomously. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Sound understanding of computer-based systems and databases. Strong written skills supported by rigorous documentation and records keeping. Sound influencing skills and negotiation skills.
