Assistant Property Manager - Part Time

About the role - PART TIME POSITION Approximately 3 days per week, 5 hours per day. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Property Manager to join our team at Focus on Mackay on a part-time basis. As an assistant to our Property Manager (Business Development Manager), you will play a crucial role in helping to manage a portfolio of residential properties in the Mackay, QLD 4740 region. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking for suitable school hours with a strong background in the real estate and property management industry to contribute to the success of our growing business. What you'll be doing Effectively managing a portfolio of residential properties, including leasing, rent collection, maintenance coordination, and tenant relations Conducting regular property inspections and ensuring properties are well-maintained and comply with relevant regulations Providing exceptional customer service to both landlords and tenants, addressing their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner Actively marketing available properties and securing new tenants, utilising your expertise in advertising and negotiating leases Maintaining accurate and up-to-date property records and documentation Assisting with the resolution of any tenancy-related disputes or issues Collaborating with the wider team to achieve the company's overall objectives All of this with the support of our full-time Property Manager What we're looking for Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar property management role, preferably within the residential real estate sector Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively Thorough understanding of relevant property management legislation, including tenancy laws and regulations Proficient in using property management software and technology A proactive and customer-focused approach, with a keen eye for detail A valid driver's licence What we offer At Focus on Mackay, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment that fosters professional growth and development.
