Job Summary The Assistant Store Manager role is an essential part of the store leadership team, impacting team member and guest experience every day. They are responsible for leading and coaching team members, holding the team accountable to results, and ensuring an outstanding guest experience in the store. Core Responsibilities of the Job Leadership and People Management Create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment. Support Store Manager in building a strong and diverse team. Provide direct feedback, coaching, mentoring, and career path guidance. Engage in career discussions to support team understanding of growth opportunities. Collaborate with Store Manager to plan team member schedules. Working with Others Establish supportive relationships with all team members. Collaborate to ensure an optimal guest experience. Guest Experience Support team members in assessing guest needs and providing product education. Resolve guest feedback and address emergent issues. Increase brand awareness by cultivating relationships with community partners. Operations Implement the Store Manager’s vision for the store. Partner with Store Manager to manage budget, labor hours, and expenses. Open and close the store in accordance with checklists. Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures. Budget Responsibility Accountable for delegated aspects of controllable budget or labor hours. People Management Indirectly responsible for subset of store employees during shifts. Experience in leadership or people management. Job Assets (i.e., nice to have; not required) Education: High School diploma or above. Experience: 1 year retail or sales management experience.
