About us Morphettville is proud to be South Australia’s largest and premier racing club, playing host to more than 40 days of racing action throughout the year. Our employees are spread throughout Hospitality, Events, Administration, Operations, and the Club’s external entertainment venue – The Junction . While The Junction may not be a direct part of a race meeting or event at the racecourse, the vibrancy and excitement certainly spill over to The Junction before and after events. Conveniently located on Anzac Highway with free onsite parking,The Junction is equipped and ready to cater for a variety of functions and events. Open 7 days a week (no late-night Code of Practice applies), we are a multi-space venue featuring a restaurant, bar, gaming room, sports bar, beer garden and function room. With this mindset, and a marketing and sales team behind you, this role will grow our functions and events business. Reporting directly to the Venue Manager, you will have proven operational experience in all facets of venue management, including (but not limited to): Day-to-day running of a venue including opening / closing of the venues Sports Bar, Bistro and Gaming, cash balancing, stock control and rostering Hands on food & bar service across gaming, sports bar, functions, and bistro service Leading, managing, and empowering staff with training If you are ready to take on your next challenge and be an integral leader in our team, then this is for you. Our ideal candidate will have A passion for, and experience within a hospitality, bar or gaming venue, and delivering exceptional and consistent customer experiences Proven experience in managing a venue, including supervising and developing a FOH team Ability to establish and develop long term customer / client relationships Current RSG3 or Further Advanced certification and / or RP badge Relevant certificate or qualification in hospitality (desired) Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and organisational skills Previous experience in social media and marketing High standards of personal presentation Ability to work as part of team, and to use initiative Ability to work a 7-day roster, with a balance of day and night shifts Why work with us At Morphettville, fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace is paramount to us.
