Job Description

In this role, you’ll regularly appear on behalf of Commonwealth government clients in the Federal Court of Australia, Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in advocacy and court appearance work. You’ll have the chance to work on a diverse range of meaningful matters for various Australian Government clients, including managing your own file load of merits review and judicial review proceedings for Commonwealth agencies, advising and acting in enforcement matters and Commonwealth compensation matters, and drafting and providing advice on legislative reviews. While part of a large national firm, this is a relatively small, close-knit team, which means you’ll benefit from a high level of direct mentoring from the Partner.
