About the Team Our Commercial Litigation and Regulatory team is regarded as one of the leading teams in Australia. We regularly act for the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) and blue-chip corporate clients on high profile and significant competition litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and cartel investigations. With our extensive experience and strong relationships with the ACCC, we are frequently involved in interesting and important matters. We are also trusted advisers to the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre, and the Australian Energy Regulator. Our industry experience spans a range of areas, including amongst others aviation, energy, finance, consumer markets, information technology, media, and telecommunications. About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for an Associate (3-4 years PQE) to join in a competition and consumer law focused role in the Commercial Litigation and Regulatory team in our Melbourne office. This role will see you engaged in high-profile, complex competition and consumer and other commercial and regulatory disputes. You will work closely with partners on these complex matters whilst benefiting from structured training and mentoring. It is a significant career opportunity for the right person looking to establish themselves in the competition and consumer law litigation space, providing the opportunity to extend yourself with challenging, dynamic, and complex legal work. About You You obviously have plenty of technical aptitude and previous relevant experience, but there is much more to you. You: have a high level of expertise in competition law, and have gained 3-4 years of experience working on competition and consumer (and potentially other regulatory) disputes; work well to meet deadlines and in a team, but also excel working autonomously on tasks appropriate for your experience level; have strong communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to foster and build productive working relationships with colleagues and clients; take a collaborative, positive, and energetic approach to everything you do.
