The Opportunity Our Forensic Accounting & Commercial Damages (FACD) team in Sydney has rapidly expanded in headcount at the start of 2025. We now would like to welcome an Associate Consultant into the team! You will leverage your accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and communication skills, to bring a new dimension to your accounting perspective. You will be mentored by our world-leading Expert Witnesses in best practice and will be able to pursue multiple pathways in your career, whether you want to be a technical subject matter specialist, or to testify in the witness stand. HKA will assist you along your journey with a supportive network, and a generous tuition reimbursement scheme. This is an opportunity to work on disputes and forensic accounting investigations projects across Australia and the Asia Pacific region in a variety of industries. In this role, you will be responsible for: Assisting in the production of expert reports. Researching and analysing quantitative and qualitative data. Conducting financial analysis and investigations. Developing financial models from transactional and financial data. Using relevant software tools for research and analysing data. Communicating results and work product as appropriate, internally and externally to clients. Assisting in client events and business development. Who You Are You might be an analytical and inquisitive individual looking to start your journey in Forensic Accounting, or you might be someone already in the field seeking a larger team to guide you through your journey. You have strong problem-solving skills, and an attention to detail. You have exceptional written and communication skills. You have a strong focus on learning and development – both being coached, and coaching others. You might have experience in Forensic Accounting and Valuations, with exposure to disputes and/or damages, but otherwise you might have experience in Audit, Valuations, Transaction Services, or an inhouse role.
