Due to continued business growth, they have created a new corporate development function to support the senior leadership team with the development, refinement, and execution of their exciting strategic plans. Upon successful hire, you'll work on organic and inorganic growth initiatives across the company's asset management and capital divisions. You'll report directly to a talented, commercial and inspiring CFO. You'll be given considerable autonomy to shape this new function and own projects from beginning to end. This is a rare opportunity to lead a newly created corporate development function for a nimble, thriving, and entrepreneurial business that is a leader in a fast-growing and evolving industry with massive growth tailwinds. Responsibilities: Upon successful hire, you'll be responsible for: Strategic Planning and Execution: Collaborate with the Executive team to support the development, refinement, and execution of their overarching strategic plan. Identify and assess new business opportunities aligned with their strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with long-term goals. Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, economic conditions, and competitive dynamics to proactively anticipate industry changes and identify growth opportunities. Stay abreast of emerging trends within the property and financial markets to stay ahead of competitors. Financial Analysis and Due Diligence: Oversee the creation and management of detailed financial models to evaluate potential investments and growth opportunities. Conduct thorough due diligence processes, identifying and mitigating key risks associated with new initiatives or acquisitions. Business Case Development and Stakeholder Communication: Prepare high-quality business cases, board papers, and investment proposals to secure stakeholder buy-in. Develop and deliver professional presentations tailored to the Board, Executive team, and other business units to communicate insights and recommendations effectively. Relationship Development and Market Engagement: Build and nurture strong relationships across the industry, engaging with key market participants to identify inorganic growth opportunities. Leverage connections to access insights, expertise, and opportunities that align with the company's goals. Project Management and Delivery: Collaborate with the Project Management Office to develop detailed project plans for strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives and timelines. Lead project workstreams, chair working groups, and manage internal and external stakeholder groups to deliver projects on time and within scope. Leadership and Influence: Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive team, offering insights and recommendations to shape strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will have: 5-10 years experience in investment banking, corporate development, strategy, management consulting, investment management or similar. Experience working in the real estate sector. Strong commercial acumen and a self-starter who can work autonomously. Solid leadership, influencing and presentation skills.
