Paxon has advised on 90+ hospitals across every State and Territory in Australia. Each year Paxon advises on over $3 billion of new hospital infrastructure, influences the development of models of care and the way that innovation and technology can assist. The Role Due to continued growth, Paxon Group requires an Associate Director to join our team. We are seeking a candidate with experience in social infrastructure sectors including health, education and community services. The role will be a client-facing and interfacing role focused on leading the delivery of engagements that encompass the following outcomes: Developing business cases and supporting investment decisions. Working with central government agencies and stakeholders on funding decisions, including those that involve State and Federal funding and budget processes. Conducting thorough research and analysis to support business case development, policy reviews, and feasibility studies. Assessing the financial, operational, and strategic dimensions of projects and policies. Identifying risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to mitigate and enhance outcomes. Preparing clear, compelling reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders. Effectively communicating findings and recommendations, both in writing and verbally. Providing expert guidance to clients, facilitating informed decision-making processes. Staying informed on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory developments. The role will work directly with clients, reporting to the Executive Director and working collaboratively with Directors. Requirements The roles are suited to candidates with: Strategy, financial or commercial experience within the public health care, social services and social infrastructure sectors, whether from industry roles or advisory positions (required). Familiarity with funding and investment decision framework within Western Australia (highly regarded). Experience with investment logic mapping and health facility planning (highly regarded). Exceptional analytical and research skills. Strong financial and commercial acumen. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Robust problem-solving capabilities. Ability to think critically, articulate ideas clearly, and write logically. Proficiency in writing reports as well as preparing and delivering presentations.
