Associate Director Governance & Accounting Policy Associate Director, Governance and Accounting Policy A challenging and rewarding role with the opportunity to make significant impact Clerk Grade 11/12 with a salary range of $139,787 - $161,663 per annum plus superannuation Ongoing role based in Sydney, NSW About the role In this newly created role, you'll have the opportunity to make your mark, driving the establishment of the framework for our financial governance and policies. You will be responsible for the development and management of finance policies and guidelines that enable strategic decision-making and ensure efficient operations. Your expertise will be crucial in fostering a robust financial governance framework, establishing mechanisms for effective monitoring, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. About You You are a highly skilled and experienced finance professional, CA or CPA qualified, with a strong background in financial policy interpretation and development. You have exceptional communication and stakeholder advisory skills and are someone who values integrity, transparency, and collaboration. You believe in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment where every team member feels valued and empowered. You have proven team leadership experience and thrive in high-pressure environments. Your deep knowledge of accounting standards and policies, coupled with your ability to solve complex and sensitive issues will contribute to your ultimate success in this role. In addition, we are looking for someone with the following experience: Leading teams and influencing others to implement improvement and change in a complex financial governance setting Driving innovation and continuous improvement in financial processes Strong technical accounting skills, coupled with the ability to compose articulate and detailed policies and reports Tertiary qualifications in accountancy, economics, commerce, finance and professional standing for current membership or eligibility for membership of a recognised Australian accounting body or relevant experience.
