They are seeking to appoint someone to the position of Associate Director to lead the business through its next chapter of growth, as the group owner and director looks to take a step up. About the organisation: With an established reputation as the market leader, PSV works closely with a diverse range of building surveyors, engineers, builders, and developers. Recognised for their reliability, quality of output, and flexibility, they combine the assurances of the large firm and the agility of a smaller organisation to deliver peer reviews and structural certification of buildings. Projects vary in scope and scale but include many of Melbourne’s most iconic buildings including the Arts Centre, MCG, Marvel Stadium and AAMI Park, the Convention Centre, the Royal Children’s and Footscray Hospitals and Chadstone Shopping Centre. About the role: Reporting to the Group Director, you will take ultimate responsibility for the leadership of the firm’s suite of current and future service offerings. Specifically, your responsibilities will include: Implementing business strategy, plans and targets with full gross margin responsibility Providing effective and inspiring operational leadership to the team - attracting and mentoring staff in the development of a high-performance team Daily operational management of the business Ensuring the team has the tools, software, technology and management support to deliver professionally, effectively and efficiently Overseeing the delivery of professional structural design reviews, certification, expert witness and advisory work Profitably growing the business through productive work, healthy client relationships and a solid pipeline of work Identifying and securing business opportunities within existing and new clients. Overseeing the commercial aspects of projects and contracts including liability, insurance and variations About you: As an experienced leader from the Victorian engineering industry, you will assume the role of Associate Director to lead the business with technical nous, drive process improvement, provide the market face of our business, and bring the team on a journey of growth without sacrifice to business culture. Your proven capabilities will include: Extensive leadership experience within a consulting engineering environment Substantial experience working within the Victorian property industry An established network and reputation with Victorian engineers, builders and developers Strong structural design management and team leadership experience Excellent business development, interpersonal and communication skills Experience in tall building design and large building design The desire and capability to grow an established and successful business Strong commercial and business acumen The ability to respond resourcefully and constructively to new demands, priorities, and challenges Tertiary qualification in Engineering Registration as a Professional Engineer in Victoria What is on offer: The business is on track to grow significantly over the next five years through organic growth. As such, the opportunity exists to lead an established and reputable business through a period of substantial growth. A base package of between $180,000 and $200,000 is suggested for the role, with annual performance-based incentives and bonuses to the value of up to $50,000 p.a. available immediately, based on the ongoing financial performance of the business.
