Associate Director - Landscape Architecture / Urban Design Are you an experienced and dynamic leader in the field of Landscape Architecture or Urban Design? We’re seeking a highly skilled Associate Director to take a leading role in managing, delivering, and shaping exciting projects across the urban design and landscape architecture sectors.This is an exceptional opportunity where you will manage medium to large-scale projects, develop client relationships, and mentor a team of talented professionals. You will also have the chance to work on complex, multi-disciplinary projects with the support of a Director.Key Responsibilities: Landscape Architecture : Lead and manage medium to large-scale landscape projects (AU$100,000+), from concept to construction, ensuring quality delivery, budget adherence, and timely completion. Urban Design : Oversee urban design projects (AU$50,000+) including master planning and built form design, guiding projects from concept through to planning submissions. Produce and scope winning proposals and tenders with Director review. Provide technical guidance on design, construction, and client expectations. Foster collaboration across teams, ensuring smooth project execution and contributing to business development and client relationships. Manage project invoicing, revenue forecasting, and team performance against KPIs. Mentor and develop team members, encouraging professional growth and skills development. Core Competencies: Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Suite, and related design software. Strong project management and leadership skills, with expertise in delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects. Excellent communication, client management, and team-building abilities. Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively. A collaborative mindset, capable of cross-selling and driving new business opportunities. Qualifications & Experience: Tertiary qualifications in Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or a related discipline. 10+ years of relevant experience in a consultancy or design practice.
