About the role As an Associate Director in our Policy, Strategy and Planning service line, you will take the lead on high-impact engagements that shape health and aged care policy. You’ll oversee complex projects—managing multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with senior stakeholders across government, industry, and the broader community. You will synthesise diverse perspectives to develop clear, evidence-based strategies and guide clients through complex policy challenges. Along the way, you’ll mentor and nurture our emerging leaders, fostering a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and rigour. About you You are an experienced consultant driven by curiosity and a deep commitment to client success. You value collaboration and teamwork, yet you also appreciate the opportunity to focus on complex challenges that require strategic thinking. You actively listen to those around you—colleagues, clients, and industry peers—building trust-based relationships and setting a standard of professionalism that others look up to. You have tertiary qualifications—typically a Bachelor’s degree plus postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline (health policy, public health, program evaluation, and/or health economics). You have over 12 years of experience in consulting or a related field (health, aged care, and/or disability sectors). You’ve honed expert-level project management skills and have a reputation for guiding teams through high-impact policy projects. You’re seen as a mentor and a role model (some may call you a policy nerd!). You readily share your knowledge, coach emerging leaders, and foster a strong culture wherever you work. You’ve built trusted partnerships at the executive level and are known for your ability to shape strategic policy conversations. We’ve completed more than 500 projects, ranging from $80k to $13M, specialising in policy development, program evaluation, financial and economic analysis, and digital health strategies.
