The Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) is looking for a motivated and experienced Structured Finance professional to join our Corporate and Institutional Bank’s (CIB) debt product team. In this client-facing role, you will be focused on providing Structured Finance (SF) solutions to our corporate and institutional banking customers and will deliver credit analysis, structuring, negotiating and documentation on a wide variety of complex deals. You will collaborate and create sustainable relationships with senior debt product colleagues, internal coverage, analysts, and legal departments to provide the highest level of service to our valued clients. You will also identify prospective SF opportunities with customers that lead to new business, including preparation of marketing materials and terms sheet. You will also: Participate in the broader team objectives of achieving Net Income and ROE plans Contribute to the development of new applications in SF to pitch to the WIB client base Achieve key strategic milestones, including transaction numbers & diversity Manage associated risk What’s in it for me? You will build and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders both locally and globally. We’ll support your transition to the role, enabling you to develop key internal relationships with the Head of Structured Finance and the team members, Treasury, Debt Capital Markets, Credit, as well as external relationships with SF customers, banks, intermediaries, and investors. What do I need? To be successful you will have the following: Extensive credit experience working with corporate & institutional clients that have a bias towards financing through Securitisation and or Structured Finance markets in Australia. Technical knowledge in financial modelling, complex credit analysis, legal, tax, and/or accounting. Proven ability to work in small deal teams under tight timeframes and other undefined constraints. Recent experience in RMBS/ABS activity. Demonstrated ability to manage and develop relationships with key market participants such as Banks and other financiers operating in the SF markets. Developed influencing skills to work with credit, legal, relationship managers and other key stakeholders in order to successfully execute transactions. Energy and willingness to contribute to building new products and ventures. Formal qualifications in quantitative disciplines such as accounting, finance, engineering, actuarial studies etc will be well regarded. What is it like to work in the team?
