The Opportunity Our Industrial group of professional services, consulting specialists have demonstrated their ongoing commitment to delivering innovation, sustainability, solution excellence, and successful project outcomes for our clients globally. This is your chance to lead and influence critical projects in water and wastewater infrastructure, including pump stations, treatment plants, service reservoirs, and control systems. You’ll have the opportunity to develop innovative power, control, and instrumentation solutions, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of essential water systems. Beyond technical delivery, this role offers the chance to build strong client relationships, provide strategic insights, and contribute to the growth of our national water business. This position will be based out of our Sydney office. About You We are seeking a highly experienced and degree-qualified Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer with a strong background in technical design, project management, and client engagement across heavy industrial and fire & life safety (F&LS) sites. This is an opportunity to take a leadership role in delivering complex, high-impact projects across Australia while shaping the future of our growing industrial business. You will be strategic, highly organised, and an influential communicator, capable of driving successful project outcomes for both the business and our clients. Your expertise will span across: High-level electrical systems design – working across various electrical systems and equipment up to 11kV, including instrumentation, control system applications, and automation. Complex system development – designing and developing instrumentation and electrical systems, including single-line diagrams, motor starter drawings, electrical layouts, instrument loop diagrams, cable schedules, and PLC I/O schedules. Project leadership and execution – managing end-to-end project delivery, including scope definition, procurement, commissioning, and construction oversight for both brownfield and greenfield systems. Client and stakeholder engagement – leveraging your industry knowledge and technical expertise to build strong client relationships, understand their business needs, and deliver solutions that align with their operational goals. Contract management and risk mitigation – providing detailed design reviews, contractual reporting, and construction-related services, ensuring high-quality outcomes. Site and implementation leadership – overseeing contractor supervision, progress monitoring, schedule reviews, contract management, and procurement activities during project execution. Mentoring and leadership – guiding and developing junior engineers, fostering a collaborative team culture, and driving technical excellence within the business.
