About Mary Guthrie House: A unique, state-wide multi-component neuropsychiatry unit providing individualised, slow stream recovery support to adults with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) or neurodegenerative condition, and associated mental illness, including responsive behaviours. The unit has a neuropsychiatric rehabilitation focus, working collaboratively with consumers to improve and maintain functional independence and to live their best life, as they define it. About the role: The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is a recognised clinical leader within the inpatient nursing team, working closely with the NUM and medical leads to ensure the provision of evidence-based nursing care and foster a positive team culture. A regular day will see you: Deliver high quality nursing care Provide oversight and leadership of daily operations in the unit Share clinical expertise through role modelling, and provision of guidance and supervision Actively contribute to team culture and a safe working environment Work collaboratively with consumers, families, carers and key stakeholders Contribute to ongoing evaluation and improvement initiatives and portfolio work, in collaboration with leadership About you: To be successful in this role you'll bring with you: A commitment to recovery orientated practice Demonstrated leadership skills Experience and confidence in clinical de-escalation A keen interest in working in a neuropsychiatry program Working at Austin Health means enjoying a strong sense of purpose, engaging in meaningful work every day.
