In this role, the successful candidate will provide support to the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure continuity of department management and quality of care, as well as provide direction, support, and advice to nursing staff and other support personnel. This support will be invaluable as the department moves into a new era with our exciting redevelopment, which is currently in progress. This is a Permanent, Full-time position based at our Fitzroy campus. ABOUT YOU: As an outstanding Anaesthetic/PACU Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you are a Registered Nurse with AHPRA, an experienced nurse in a Theatre setting for at least 2 years, and have postgraduate qualifications or are working towards them. Your skills and roles will include: Demonstrated ability to recognise, support, develop and utilise the skills of team members and identify staff development needs. Ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations, with recent relevant emergency training. Experience in prioritisation and coordinating in the O.R. Ability to promote teamwork and actively contribute to the management of the Unit whilst being a role model and promoting the philosophy and values of St. Vincent’s Private Melbourne. Well-developed planning and organisational skills, with exceptional interpersonal skills.
