Find out more about working with the Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network at: Working at the FUNLHN Site and Service: Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service The Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service is a large regional hospital that provides a wide range of services including emergency, general and surgical, maternity, outpatient, and outreach services. The hospital has 58 beds including flex and monitored beds. The Port Augusta Hospital also has chemotherapy services and has a Renal Dialysis Unit and a Paediatric Department, both of which are the largest outside of Adelaide. Our staff work in close partnership with community health services and Aboriginal health providers, to ensure that optimum care is delivered to all areas of the community. About the Role: Step into a leadership role where you can make a real difference in patient care and staff development. As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide exceptional nursing and/or midwifery services across a variety of healthcare settings, building on your experience and advanced knowledge. As you grow from a competent to proficient practitioner, you'll take ownership of your practice standards, oversee delegated activities, and provide valuable guidance to less experienced staff. In this dynamic role, you'll work closely with the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager to lead and support a team of dedicated nurses and midwives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, consistent care. You’ll play an integral part in shaping practice improvements, implementing changes, and managing key operational aspects such as performance management, recruitment, staffing, rostering, and financial planning. Your leadership will foster a collaborative, thriving environment where patient care is always the priority. About You: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife. Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. Experience in the supervision of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses. Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances) Applicant Information: This is a part-time vacancy, working 64 hours per fortnight, and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
