We’re looking for a highly experienced Associate Principal Industrial Control Systems Engineer to join our team! What you will do: Work within a multidisciplinary project team to develop robust control system hardware and software architectures for industrial automation projects in a GMP manufacturing environment, adhering to S88 Batch standards and regulatory standards like GAMP5 and 21 CFR Part 11. Consult with clients and stakeholders on control system requirements & architectures. Support the sales process with system concepts, architectures, effort, and schedule estimates. Develop project plans and manage the delivery of control systems solutions. Lead the execution of control system design & development lifecycle activities including the creation of software design, verification and operations documentation. Lead and mentor control systems engineers. Manage relationships with control system and component suppliers. Program industrial control system components (including PLC, HMI, SCADA, Edge, DCS, Robots, etc.), test and debug modules, test beds, and final equipment. Design, develop, install, and commission equipment at Invetech and supplier sites (Melbourne). Support (remotely/on-site) equipment verification (SAT) activities at client sites. What you will bring: Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Software Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 10 years of experience as a Control Systems Engineer. Experience in GMP batch manufacturing environments for biopharmaceuticals and/or therapeutic products complying with FDA 21 CFR Part 11. Proven ability to lead teams in the development and commissioning of industrial control systems (PLC/HMI/SCADA/Edge/DCS/Batch). Experience with control systems development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Broad control systems experience with a creative and flexible mindset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving ability. Experience with Siemens, Beckhoff, Emerson DeltaV HMI/PLC/DCS, Industrial Robot based equipment and systems is highly desired. Current Victorian Professional Engineers Registration is highly desirable.
