Full Time Opportunity 4 year fixed term contract Hybrid working environment (2 days per week in the office) Salary Range of $110k to $116k Base, pro rata for part time, (dependent on experience, skills and capabilities) plus 11.5% Superannuation + Smart Salary Packaging Benefit The Critical Care Program (CC) has established an international track record in programs of Critical Care research including high-quality, large-scale, randomized controlled trials, cohort and observational studies. The programs focus on all aspects of the management of critically ill patients from the pre-hospital phase through hospital management, specifically in Intensive Care, short-term recovery, rehabilitation and long term health-related functional recovery and quality of life. The Academic Project Operations (APO) team works closely with our research team to ensure study aims are achieved. The team is primarily responsible for the set-up, conduct and overall delivery of projects across all research programs at TGI, according to best practice guidelines and research budgets. We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Associate Project Manager to join our Critical Care team. The Opportunity: The Associate Project Manager (APM) is responsible for the development, conduct and completion of clinical research projects. An APM will manage and oversee small project/s or manage larger projects under the guidance/mentorship of an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager. Key Responsibilities and Duties: The Associate Project Manager will maintain effective professional relationships with the internal project team, external customers, investigators, and vendors. The Associate Project Manager will provide clear guidance to the project team on project-specific deliverables. To support your application, can you please address the below Essential Criteria in your Covering Letter: Research Experience: Describe your research experience, including developing or managing budgets and contracts, preparing research ethics submissions and applications for other regulatory bodies. Detail any experience working with or for research sponsors. Project Management Experience: Describe your experience managing projects in a healthcare setting, including the types of projects you have overseen and/or managed. Describe any experience managing a team or engaging with stakeholders. Critical Care Experience/Understanding: Explain your knowledge of Critical Care practices and how this understanding informs your approach to Project Management. Skills, Knowledge and Experience/Our Successful Candidate Tertiary qualifications in a related science or health care discipline, preferably specialized in critical care. Relevant experience as a senior coordinator on large-scale or a variety of clinical trial projects or project management of small projects. Previous experience working on clinical projects within an academic, CRO, or pharmaceutical environment. Some experience in managing budgets and reporting requirements. Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Effective problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to supervise project staff within a team environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well and flexibly, i.e., autonomously, in small teams, and with a wide range of varying stakeholders. Ability to see the big picture, yet still focus on detail. Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organizational priorities and ambiguous environments. Strong focus on quality of work. Ability to travel. Flexibility to work non-standard hours for collaboration and contact with global teams based on the requirements of the position.
