Extraordinary role in our Canberra office supporting Commonwealth Government’s and the wider public sector Be trained within our Institutional Banking team, bringing your recent academic qualifications to life A rare find: entry level role within Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) Financial Institutions and Government industry team (FI&G) How will I help? As an Associate Relationship Manager, you will focus on supporting the ACT and Commonwealth Public Sector Coverage team, and be involved in developing and writing briefing papers, strategy documents, client research, pricing submissions, pricing approvals, and revenue reports as well as other ad-hoc duties. These insights will enable the Public Sector team to develop and deliver bespoke financial solutions that are in the client’s best interests. As a client facing role, you will have exposure to high profile meetings and complex deal structuring. You will support senior stakeholders and enable them to represent the Bank in the most appropriate manner and to be prepared for all client engagements. Responsibilities: Reporting to the Global Head of Public Sector , you will have three key areas of focus: Strategy and analysis: coordination and delivery of written industry strategies including related research and deep dive industry analysis Support of development and execution of local sector strategy Effective engagement of key stakeholders across risk, product, business development, Customer Insights and Analytics and group segments to enable the delivery of bespoke financial solutions that are in the client’s best interests Customer centric activities: coordinating the professional delivery of tailored financial and transactional solutions for customers Coordinating communication to customers such as responses to Requests for Proposals (‘RFP’) and delivery of Expressions of Interest Supporting the development of customer relationships and attendance of customer meetings where appropriate Origination support: preparing and coordinating pricing approvals through the use of DealPoint, Credit Connect and QlikView systems Preparing and coordinating internal and external account planning Preparing revenue reporting, forecasts as well as following up on revenue anomalies within reports with Finance and respective industry or product colleagues Acting as interface with the customer for client service matters Ad hoc tasks to support customer needs and deliverables.
