This is an exciting opportunity to hit the ground running and cement a career in this busy practice. This is a full-time role. While this role is based in our Sydney CBD office, at Bartier Perry we all have the opportunity to work flexibly and remotely. About you Our ideal candidate possesses: 5 + years PQE with predominant experience in conveyancing, leasing and other property transactions in NSW; Experience using the PEXA platform; Experience in dealing with easement matters, and various applications under the Roads Act 1993 and Local Government Act 1993; Experience in Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991; A passion for property law; Experience acting for Government clients; Sound understanding of regulatory matters and strong client facing capabilities; Experience and proven ability to delegate to junior staff and supervise; Strong work ethic and ability to manage competing priorities; Strong analytical and research skills; Ability to work as part of a team; and Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You will be a valued member of a team where practitioners are encouraged to be responsible for their own matters and where they are given autonomy. Key areas of the Property and Planning practice which you will be exposed to include: Residential and commercial conveyancing; Retail and commercial leasing; Retirement village transactions; Acting for state and local government authorities on the compulsory acquisition of land; Easements. You will also be expected to engage in the team’s business development program. This will involve attending and presenting at client facing events, and drafting bulletins and client updates.
