This role is an opportunity to work with our leading Adelaide C&I team on challenging matters for a prominent and diverse client base. This is a senior associate or associate level role. More senior applicants are also encouraged to apply. The opportunity Our busy, highly-regarded Adelaide C&I practice has grown rapidly since it was founded in 2022. We attract instructions from leading local, national and international contractors and consultants, from Commonwealth, State and local government, and from listed and private developers. We are involved in some of the largest projects in SA and across Australia. Our projects include road and rail, energy, and commercial, civil, and major residential developments. Our work traverses the entire lifespan of construction projects, from contract model selection and tendering through to contract negotiation, project delivery, and disputes. Our unique model also allows us to offer value-for-money services for small to medium projects and to support senior lawyers in developing their own practice. We invest in our people. Day to day, you'll be busy with: Advising on, drafting and negotiating construction contracts; Advising on project delivery issues; Conducting local and interstate litigation, adjudications under security of payment legislation and arbitrations from start to finish. To succeed in this role, you might have: 3+ years post-admission experience; Exposure to and interest in construction law; Commercial acumen and critical thinking capabilities; For more senior candidates, leadership skills and an interest in developing our up-and-coming junior cohort.
