Job Description

As a Resident Service Technician, you will be based within the client’s premises providing support for AV equipment and user support at events and senior management meetings. This role prioritises your ability to confidently host events and support business presentations as a primary function, coupled with providing technical AV support to end users. It requires a mature and confident mindset and familiarity with corporate environments. Possessing the ability to deliver smooth day-to-day audio-visual operations, you will focus on providing a high level of technical service and customer support to our client whilst based at their premises. The opportunity will also allow you to be proactive in identifying and implementing new initiatives for improving service. Gaps in your experience will be assessed and training provided where required. Note: This position is based in Geelong with potential travel on rare occasions to the Client’s other offices located in Melbourne CBD, suburbs and regional Victorian centres. Daily responsibilities will include: Supporting executive presentations and video conferences, providing a "white glove” service to end users, ensuring all meeting needs are fulfilled. Fault finding of AV, VC and ICT. Resolving technical issues. Reporting. Training the client on AV, VC and ICT. Liaising with reception, IT and facility teams for booking requirements, facilitation, and cross-training. Deploying hardware such as handsets and user training to on-boarding staff. Ensuring all documentation is kept up to date and stored in a structured manner, with reporting to management and the client completed efficiently. Ideal Candidate profile: Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an onsite technician, AV Events Technician, AV Service Technician, or in a similar industry. Trade qualification in electronics, communications, or audio-visual, or demonstrated industry equivalent desirable. Current valid Driver’s License and Personal Vehicle. Previous experience working on a client premises desirable. Experience with audio, video & IT equipment systems. Strong practice in Video Conferencing and networking skills. Familiarity with fault finding AV equipment. Experience using the Microsoft suite of products – particularly PowerPoint and Teams. Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
