About the role Enerven are seeking an experienced Automation and Control Systems Engineer to join their Renewables team in leading the delivery of some of the most significant energy projects in Australia. From the 480MWh Summerfield BESS connection in South Australia, the 500MW Liddell BESS, the 2.8GWh Eraring BESS to the 500kV Goulburn River Solar Farm connection work in New South Wales, Enerven is providing the critical infrastructure needed to drive Australia’s renewable energy transition. You will provide technical inputs and advice to facilitate outcomes throughout the entire project lifecycle, from bid and concept through to commissioning and close out. In the automation team you will spend the majority of your time in the office completing design tasks, but will also have the ability to have ‘hands on’ exposure on site. Day to day you will be responsible for: Documentation, equipment specifications, drawing designs, RTU configurations, SCADA configurations and networking design Providing technical engineering advice within the business for projects and bid development Working with the business development team to secure new contracts for Enerven, participating and driving Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) works, solutions development and engineering support Contributing and being part of the teams responsible for services engagement (internal and external) in engineering, design, construction, and commissioning Coordinating and Technically Lead the engineering & design project team assigned to ensure project is planned, design processes followed (Design & SID reviews etc.) and scope, design budgets, timing, technical communication, and technical integration is managed Ensuring compliance of design with the relevant design standards, statutory regulations and Australian Standards Implementing value engineering initiatives throughout the entire project lifecycle Providing site-based engineering support during project construction and commissioning phases About you Ideally this candidate will have a strong background in control systems. Exposure to substations and HV installations is highly desirable. Specific qualifications and experience required include: Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering (CPEng is desirable) Demonstrated experience in a similar position within the electrical or relevant industry About us At Enerven, we want our work to make a difference.
