About the Role Sydney Airport welcomes around 40 million passengers a year and Certis Security Australia delivers a world-class experience for all passengers. We commit to a safe environment for visitors by providing passenger and baggage screening, customer service and other security services for our client. We are seeking suitable candidates to perform duties as Aviation Screening Officers. Duties include: Customer Service Bag Loading X-Ray Monitoring Conducting frisk searches Physical Bag Searches Walk-thru metal detector monitoring Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) Key Responsibilities No experience required; however, CUSTOMER SERVICE experience is a MUST! Certis will cover the cost of your training, including a Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (AVI20118) and 40 hours On-the-Job Training . The Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (TSP) is a nationally recognized qualification and is a requirement for all Aviation Screening Officers and is completely FREE with our Registered Training Organization (RTO 45583). Note that to progress into a permanent position you are required to successfully complete the Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (TSP) and, at the end of your On-the-Job Training, be deemed capable of making independent screening decisions.
