We are currently looking for highly experienced and disciplined Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (Mechanical or Avionics) and Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (Mechanical or Avionics) to join our team in Brisbane, QLD . If you’re a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you’re the type of person we would like to welcome onboard. Initial 3 month contract only. Must be able to commit to the full 3 months. Potential for ongoing work as required. Your role In this role, your key responsibilities will include: Dismantling, inspecting, testing, repairing and reassembling aircraft engines, ancillary components, accessories, and electrical systems; Conducting routine pre–flight checks and inspections of engines and equipment; Maintaining thorough records of actions taken; Assembling components, parts and subassemblies of aircraft engines and equipment; Testing, maintaining, replacing, and upgrading aircraft safety equipment. The essential requirements Solid experience and understanding of heavy and line maintenance; A proactive and POSITIVE attitude; Excellent mechanical hand skills, experience and quality; Extensive troubleshooting skills; Attention to detail; Ability to work to a time schedule; Driven to succeed; Willingness to learn; Passion for safety and working as part of a team; Passion for safe work practices; Valid work visa; Current drivers licence. The following will be highly regarded: Experience on SAAB 340; Previous experience in a general aviation environment; Current ASIC (or ability to obtain); CASA Part 66 License.
