Beauty Teacher - Multiple Part Time & Casual Opportunities Location: Box Hill Company: Box Hill Institute Description: About the role: We are currently recruiting multiple opportunities for part time and casual Beauty Teachers to commence in January 2025! The Beauty Teacher role provides high quality and innovative course materials and excellent teaching delivery to students, to: support student success and thereby improve their employment and/or educational pathways ensure BHI compliance requirements are met. The Teacher – Beauty is one of several positions in the Beauty unit of the Faculty of Creative, Business & Technology. The position reports to the Course Coordinator – Hair & Beauty and is responsible for liaising with students, relevant industry groups, community services providers, overseas partners and employees of the BHI at all levels. About You: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) Relevant industry qualifications and an AQF 5 or higher vocational qualification Current and sound experience working in beauty Sound understanding of learning theories, including adult learning theory and post-modernist theory and ability to apply these in various settings Demonstrated ability to develop a range of complex documents that comply with all relevant quality standards, including course materials, unit plans and assessment tools Experience in student management systems for attendance tracking, retrieval of student details where required and resulting Active listening and problem solving with a commitment to professional communications, excellent customer service and continuous improvement Demonstrated high level awareness of, and responsiveness to, people from a broad range of diverse backgrounds and emotional contexts Proven ability to understand and readily adapt to changing circumstances both within and outside of the classroom.
