Job Description

Biomedical Technician Senior - Medical Imaging Queensland Health (Organisation site ( ) )Brisbane Metropolitan The purpose of this role is to be an integral part of a team delivering high level technology support services, including repairs and planned maintenance, to ensure the safety and effectiveness of health technology equipment and systems, with a major focus on field service of medical imaging systems and associated technology. The successful candidate will deliver high level technology support services with minimal supervision including but not limited to preventive maintenance, repairs, installation, commissioning, de-installation and general technical support. Key Responsibilities: Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces. Independently solve complex technical problems regarding health technology equipment and systems. Perform cross-discipline activity as required. Accurately document activity in the relevant information systems. Provide supervision, training and support to fellow team members, including technical practice supervision and/or supervision of small work groups. Assist supervisors and managers as directed with service planning, establishing priorities and scheduling major work programs. Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical staff, equipment suppliers, service providers, team members and managers, to achieve service delivery objectives. Contribute to the development and continual improvement of technical practice and processes. Key competencies (role specific criteria) Proven high level of knowledge, expertise and skill in the maintenance, installation and technical support of health technology equipment and systems, including medical imaging systems and/or associated technology. Proven ability to apply independent judgment and initiative to effectively plan, execute and coordinate technical service delivery with minimal guidance from more senior practitioners. Proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clinical staff, equipment suppliers, service providers, team members and managers. Proven ability to work as an effective team member to achieve organisational goals. Able to demonstrate a commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement.
