We're seeking an exceptional Board Member | Membership Officer to oversee our volunteer program and help us continue to grow and thrive as a leading wildlife rescue and rehabilitation organisation. Key Accountabilities: Provide strategic direction and support to the Membership Coordinator and the membership team Develop and implement membership promotion, retention, and renewal activities to grow our community Oversee the development and maintenance of membership policies, procedures, and processes Communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including the Board, Team Leaders and members Manage member concerns and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner Research and analyze trends in member benefits and make recommendations to the Board Develop and refine marketing materials to promote member benefits and engagement Present quarterly and annual reports to the Committee and the Annual General Meeting Represent SOWFI in the general community and set high standards of professional leadership and personal behaviour Duties & Responsibilities of a Board Member: As soon as practicable after being appointed to the Board, each Director must become familiar with Save Our Wildlife Foundation’s (SOWFI) constitution and the SA Associations Incorporation Act 1985. The Board is collectively responsible for ensuring that SOWFI complies with the Act and its constitution. Board members must exercise their powers and discharge their duties with reasonable care and diligence. Board members must exercise their powers and discharge their duties: in good faith in the best interests of the Association for a proper purpose. Minimum Requirements: Previous experience in HR management is essential. We are looking for someone committed to helping South Australian wildlife by offering their professional people skills to this young organisation.
