ARL Laboratory Services Pty Ltd is looking for a Branch Manager for its operation in Brisbane and Sydney. Reports to: Operations Manager Qualifications & Requirements Engineering/Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Metallurgy. 5+ years of Oil and Gas industry experience. Requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for supervising technical team. Sound knowledge of Safety standards and industry regulations. Must possess and maintain certification in NDT Techniques. Duties & Responsibilities: Lead a team of technicians. Plan NDT activities as per client requirements. Execute daily plans according to contractual agreements. Ensure safety and security of all people and assets at the site. Maintain discipline and punctuality of the team. Ensure timely issuance of reports as per standards. Maintain all calibration and procedural documentation. Liaise with client representatives for all activities. Deliver all objectives and targets agreed with the client. Implement processes for assessment and validation of technical abilities of technicians. Consult with assigned staff to assist with complex situations and provide technical expertise. Provide progress and activity reports to senior management and assist with contract execution. Perform audit inspection activities and report, initiating corrective actions against discrepancies. Assist Operations Manager with preparing and monitoring department budget. Ensure training and evaluation of NDT technicians. Ensure all certifications and licenses are up to date. Daily Responsibilities: Plan and execute daily activities. Ensure all work is performed as per safety and quality requirements. Coordinate all site work with client representatives. Communicate performance parameters with the Operations Manager regularly. Ensure ARL Testing procedures meet the latest standard requirements. Supervise technicians in completing reports. Train and evaluate technicians. Skills: Excellent understanding of standards and codes for NDT and Inspection. Good project management skills. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to perform and deliver results under pressure. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in an ever-changing environment. Excellent written and verbal communication.
