Breast Care Nurse - Icon Cancer Centre, Midland Support patients through their comprehensive cancer treatment Enjoy a dynamic and supportive work environment Make a meaningful impact by delivering high-quality cancer care locally Casual Position – Icon Cancer Centre, Midland WA About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Breast Care Nurse to join our innovative and dynamic team on a permanent part-time basis at Icon Cancer Centre, Midland. The Breast Care Nurse will coordinate patient care, aiming to enhance health outcomes throughout treatment and end-of-life care. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, this role is pivotal in ensuring seamless patient care delivery.Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments and screening for clinical and supportive care needs, focusing on identifying at-risk patients. Ensure timely referrals to specialists, allied health providers, and support services as required. Foster continuity of care by establishing clear referral pathways and maintaining effective communication across healthcare settings. Provide consistent education and support to patients and their families. Implement evidence-based guidelines in the delivery of cancer care. Participate in service improvement initiatives to optimize care coordination and patient outcomes. Act as a liaison between patients, Medical Officers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Skills & Experience: Mandatory: Registered Nurse qualification with AHPRA registration. Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in breast cancer nursing. Demonstrated leadership and clinical expertise in oncology nursing. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team. Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills. Desired: Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., CNSA, COSA). Postgraduate qualification in oncology nursing or equivalent.
