Brewer (Wort production, Fermentation and packaging) Hawkers Beer is a craft brewery dedicated to brewing exceptional beers with a commitment to quality. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Brewer to join our team and contribute to the growth and success of our brand. As a Brewer at Hawkers Beer, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing the brewing process from start to finish. You will work closely with the Head Brewer and other team members to ensure the production of high-quality beers that meet our standards of excellence. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, a passion for brewing, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: Wort production on a 45 hl DME brew house Milling of silo malt and specialty malt Monitor and control fermentation Run CIP on different brewery equipment including but not limited to the brew house, centrifuge and fermentation vessels. Conduct quality control testing in all areas of brewing Keep accurate records of brewing processes, ingredients, and inventory. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or operational issues that arise during the brewing process. Maintain stock levels of raw materials and assist with ordering supplies as necessary. Participate in brewery events, promotions, and tastings to represent the brand and engage with the local beer community. Qualifications: Professional brewing experience. Strong understanding of brewing science, processes, and equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours as required. Physically fit to work in all areas of a brewing facility. Preferred Qualifications: Formal brewing education or certification is a plus. Experience with fermentation monitoring, yeast management. Knowledge of safety protocols including safe chemical handling. Experience with brewing software and inventory management systems.
