About the Role As a Broker Account Manager, you will assist the Senior Broker Manager in portfolio management of third-party relationships and origination in Commercial Banking (e.g. CB&O, SME, DSI, Emerging Corporate etc). This will be achieved through developing sustained channel growth whilst maintaining sound risk management to ensure that a quality portfolio is maintained. As a Broker Account Manager, you will: Be part of a team that offers specialist relationship advice and support to Commercial Bankers, Brokers and Aggregators, providing intimate knowledge of our customers’ needs. Assist to develop and implement regular contact strategies and networking opportunities to grow third-party distribution. Stay abreast of the industry and provide market sensing to help sale leaders understand the external market. Act as an SME to provide clarity and upskill brokers and aggregators on ANZ policy, credit appetite, process and product. Provide education and training support to aggregators and brokers. Monitor and review relationships between broker and banker to ensure the alignment is optimal. Evaluate broker and aggregator relationships’ relevant to the product/business and recommend whether accreditation should be continued. Ensure the accurate and timely completion of key broker processes including on-boarding, off-boarding, commission and well-managed processes. Supervise, monitor and recommend consequences & solutions for third-parties ensuring compliance to risk & regulatory. What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Influencing and Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to build long term partnerships and influence and negotiate with stakeholders. Customer focus: Defines and measure success through the eyes of the customer and banker, anticipates, understands and responds to evolving customer needs. Market / Industry Knowledge: Strong level of knowledge and experience in the broker industry. Commercial Banking Knowledge: Strong knowledge of commercial banking, particularly policy, process and product, preferably with experience gained in a business banking environment. Commercial Lending: Strong knowledge of financial statements and credit assessment skills (background of sound business lending). Team Player: Ability to work autonomously, work with a team and solve problems quickly. You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
