About the role This role is focused on ensuring timely analysis and accurate assessment of the City's capital expenditure (CAPEX) program. It involves effective reporting, scheduling, and planning of CAPEX projects using the City's portfolio and project management system to achieve the City's strategic objectives. Role accountabilities include: Create Program and Scheduling Plans: Use modern tools to develop schedules, identify and track risks, ensuring senior managers can deliver projects efficiently. Recommend Innovative Solutions: Suggest and implement new ways to improve scheduling, costs, and performance. Analyze and Report Costs: Track and monitor cost performance, report findings, and recommend improvements to senior managers. Review Budgets and Expenditures: Assess budget reports, correct any inaccuracies, and ensure accurate financial tracking. Provide Accounting and Service Support: Offer excellent accounting support, work proactively with the team, and focus on continuous improvement. About you Join Our Team as a Budget Analyst & Planner! The Qualifications below are essential for the role; Diploma level or higher in accounting, project management, or an acceptable equivalent, coupled with significant relevant practical experience in a similar role. Current Driver Licence. and also, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Proficiency in financial software and tools.
