iSPECT Building Inspections seeks a building and pest inspector to service and grow select regions of Sydney, NSW. The successful applicant will use their residential and commercial industry experience and qualifications to provide advice on compliance with the Building Codes of Australia, Australian Standards, and Building Regulations and help to grow the business profile within the region. The Building Inspector will complete the following tasks and responsibilities: Onsite inspections of properties and new home builds; Pest and termite inspections; Construction stage, dilapidations and pre-purchase inspections; Developing and establishing causes of building damage; Noting design faults, defective building work or maintenance-related issues; Supplying detailed assessment reports; Inspecting all building repairs which coincide with the Australian Building Codes/Standards; Service commercial contract works generated by iSPECT Building Inspections head office; Promote inspection services to local businesses; Grow customer and client reviews; Respond to enquiries generated from business and website listings; Liaising with our central administration team to generate daily work schedules, invoicing, and inspection reports. Skills and Experience Required: Hold a current building trade qualification, or industry equivalent; Must hold, or be willing to attain, pest inspection units of competence; Be able to prove 10 years of residential and commercial building and construction experience; A working knowledge of the Home Building Act and Legislation; Pest inspection experience preferred but will train; Self-motivated with meticulous attention to detail; Driver's license and car; Willing to travel to metro and outer suburbs across Sydney; Presentable, punctual, professional, and affable .
