This position is located in: Melbourne Burnet's Australian Institute for Infectious Disease (AIID) Project Team works closely with Foundation Partners as well as internal and external stakeholders to effectively deliver outcomes of the AIID Project that includes a fit for purpose new workplace and laboratories for Burnet. The AIID Design project has reached a critical milestone in design. From Business Case to Concept Design, Schematic Design and now finalization of Design Development we are moving into more technical elements as well as Laboratory Operations. In this role you will be responsible for the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure of Burnet activities on the AIID Project, at the project level. You will also: Liaise with project stakeholders and consultants (e.g. Project Manager, Architect, engineers, etc.) and key Burnet personnel to ensure smooth communication and coordination. Maintain an established project document library. Ensure project records are kept up to date and appropriate version control is maintained for all documents. Maintain meeting schedules for internal Burnet meeting groups. Ensure effective record keeping, and clarity of meeting purposes and outcomes. Assist in early preparatory efforts relating to Burnet relocation, including laboratory equipment transfer lists, procurement preparations, etc. Maintain established communication tools to inform the wider Burnet of Project Progress. Assist with developing and implement relocation plan and budget including detail timeline and contingency plans. Assist laboratory operations where necessary for critical business operational continuity. Assist with and develop current Institutional Laboratory Operations Manual. Assist with optimisation of various laboratory operations e.g. Hazardous Chemical Management, Swipe Card management and review. Refer to the attached position description for full details. This is a Full Time , 2-year fixed term position, with flexible working hours. Let's talk about you The following criteria are essential requirements: Demonstrated experience in change management and excellent communication skills. Technical knowledge and understanding of a laboratory environment. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated experience coordinating projects or similarly sized projects. The following are preferable but not essential: Proficiency in the use of Project Management processes and tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office suite of programs or Microsoft SharePoint). Proficiency in maintaining and managing project control documents (e.g. budgets, timelines and scope documents).
