The Central Australian Aboriginal Alcohol Programmes Unit (CAAAPU) was established in 1991. It is an Aboriginal community controlled corporation that provides culturally appropriate alcohol and other drug (AOD) residential treatment services to Aboriginal people in Central Australia. It operates a 30 bed facility located on a 5 hectare property on the rural outskirts of Alice Springs. It provides a peaceful place for our clients to heal whilst accessing high quality AOD treatment services. We have a welcoming and professional staff and a positive workplace culture. About the Opportunity CAAAPU invites applications for full-time Business Administration Manager to join our leadership team in Alice Springs. The level of the role will be commensurate with your demonstrated level of experience. Key responsibilities include: Manage and coordinate the day-to-day administration operations of CAAAPU including: Accounts, Human Resources, Information Technology, Asset Management, WHS, facility maintenance and Payroll. Manage Quality Assurance processes. Provide leadership and management of administration, kitchen and ground staff. Maintain positive engagement with suppliers and external stakeholders. Participate in organisational planning processes through Leadership meetings. Undertake ‘on-call’ duties. Comply with and participate in policy development as required. Minimum Requirements: Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance and/or Management. Current Certificate Provide First Aid & CPR. Current Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card). Current NT Driver’s License. Current Police Check. Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ relevant management experience. Experience in staff management, development and supervision. Experience in building positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders and clients both internal and external. Experience in quality systems, processes and maintenance of audit schedules. Knowledge: Proven ability to communicate effectively at a high level, manage conflict and problem solve in a dynamic work environment. Working knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards including QIP, WHS Act. Broad understanding of office protocols. Flexibility, resilience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity are essential qualities for success in this role. You will be able to work both independently and as part of our team.
