Apply now Job no: 504544Work type: Contract Full TimeLocation: SydneyCategories: Legal & Corporate Affairs Fixed Term Contract, approximately 12 months Base salary $96K The Role The ABC is looking for a Business Affairs Executive to contribute to the effective contracting and rights management of commissioned and acquired content across all ABC platforms through strong contract negotiation and rights management skills. The Job Collaborate across ABC divisions to meet strategic priorities Manage relationships with key content suppliers, distributors, and stakeholders Support content contracting processes for commissioned and acquired content Prepare and finalize project documentation aligned with ABC policies Perform administrative tasks including data entry of content rights Prepare contract summaries and circulate documentation to stakeholders Contribute to contract management and policy development Execute Business Affairs projects with minimal supervision About You You'll have: Tertiary degree required; law degree or equivalent experience preferred Extensive experience in contract drafting and negotiation, especially intellectual property Advanced skills in drafting and interpreting licence agreements Strong contract and rights management experience, preferably in legal or business affairs Interest in content, streaming, and broadcasting industry Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder management Strong initiative and independent judgment to meet deadlines and outcomes About ABC Quality journalism, powerful investigations, outstanding production, and a collaborative, engaged and supportive workplace that offers opportunities and career development across regional and metropolitan Australia.
