The Organisation: This enterprise size client has operations around Western Australia and has grown exponentially to support the community. Our client has over 160 applications supporting some of the most mission-critical business processes across 3 technology domains. Their technology platform has a number of complex integrations, processes and business rules which would require you to work with a range of subject matter experts, and ensure you get a variety of work tasks to complete. All the team work in a client-facing and consulting manner where they leverage their IT and business skills to ensure that if there are any technology solutions available that add value and meet the organisations roadmap they are implemented in a timely manner. The Role: Using your practical Business Analyst and Technology Consulting skills, your role will span full lifecycle functional project work, with a key focus on records management, information management, process mapping, documentation, and mapping to improve system efficiencies, governance, and compliance. You will help play a key role in changing business processes and systems to ensure the business operates more efficiently and effectively while meeting its complex governance, compliance, and risk management (GRC) requirements. Our client is committed to introducing a whole-of-sector approach to protecting privacy and enabling safe information sharing within the public sector and with authorised third parties. The role will involve you adding value at various stages (requirements gathering, modelling, workshops, reporting, analysis, etc) and levels dealing directly with various client stakeholders and third-party vendors based in Australia and internationally. Working with a variety of SMEs, you will be a key contributor to helping the business realise value from the new environment. This is a two-year project with phase one being underway at present. The key objective of this business analysis service is to undertake the business analysis activities for the project at hand. This involves:Building upon previous business analysis work, and collaborating closely with the project team including the Change Manager, Information Architect, Solution Architect, and all relevant stakeholders. Define, prepare and provide the required deliverables; Provide regular progress updates; Attend and present at various meetings; Demonstrate an understanding of Information and Data Governance, as well as the ability to review, interpret and apply policy and legislation; Demonstrate an understanding of Privacy and Information Sharing principles and scope as well as the ability to review, interpret and apply policy and legislation; Ensure consistency and efficiency across outcomes of the project; Undertake current state assessment and gap analysis; Analysis required to implement information governance instruments; Conduct and facilitate workshops with business teams to elicit requirements; Review, validate and complete existing requirements and deliver new requirements; Synthesise business and technical information to determine and produce the most appropriate medium (e.g. document, diagram, model, etc.) to present the information; Proactively engage with stakeholders with varying degrees of business and technical expertise, to plan and produce multiple deliverables to project milestones; Definition of benefits realisation; and assist the Project Manager in developing and gaining approval for project artefacts. About you: You have 8+ years working as a Business Analyst with a proven track record of creating high-quality artifacts/documentation. Good written and verbal communication skills are required to elicit key requirements from business stakeholders who may not be forthcoming with how things operate. Your resume / CV should support your delivery-focused real-world experience across mid-large organisations with a focus on functional IT business, records management, and systems analysis. Work experience and successes gained in government environments along with knowledge and experience in managing complex environments in line with evolving legislation, policy changes, and best practices would be of benefit. Any formal methodology and process experience (BABOK, UML) would be of particular value, however not essential. Relevant Tertiary qualifications and/or industry certification/s would be of benefit.
