Our client is at the forefront of implementing cutting-edge cyber vulnerability management solutions, and Hays is working exclusively with them to find a talented Cyber Business Analyst to join their dynamic team on a long-term contract opportunity. This role is open to applicants based in Canberra, Adelaide, Brisbane, or Melbourne and will be 3 days in office. The initial contract will be until the 30th of June with two up to 12-month extensions. Your New Role As a Business Analyst, you will contribute to the management, implementation, and delivery of cyber vulnerability mapping and process changes within the Cyber Security Division. You will work closely with key stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of business processes and models, creating or redesigning them to benefit the agency, customers, and stakeholders. Your role will involve the design, planning, and implementation of transformational ICT projects, leveraging methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, and Quality Assurance frameworks. Key duties may include, but are not limited to: Implement business process improvement practices, methodologies and tools to assist with streamlining business processes for vulnerability management. Development or maintenance of process maps, models and project documentation design or change identified business process patterns to support project, program or service delivery operations analyse existing business processes to identify issues, mitigate risks and create improvement opportunities for consideration by executives. Manage and implement changes in close partnership with key stakeholders, including project teams contribute to project design, governance arrangements and operational integration support innovation. Manage and support change and contribute to business improvement strategies, work in collaboration with key stakeholders and cultivate working relationships to ensure service and business improvements provide specialist, expert advice and feedback to stakeholders in area of vulnerability management. Consider the impact and risks of business changes on the existing and future business architecture of the agency and contribute to findings. What You'll Need to Succeed An NV1 security clearance is required. Minimum 5 years as a Business Analyst, with a focus on large-scale ICT projects for Federal Government, specifically in vulnerability management. Knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools like Rapid7, Tenable, Windows Defender, Forescout, Sentinel, and others. Proficient in project, business process, and change management practices. Strong understanding of ISM, PSPF, and NIST standards. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
