Job Description
We are looking for a Business Analyst with exceptional analytical skills to specify the business, functional & technical requirements, high-level solution design, user experience, defining and executing the test plans whilst ensuring the customer meets their objectives. Use proven communication skills that instil confidence in the customer, business, and technical teams that the solution specified will meet or exceed the objectives. You will be working for our Australia based client. Established in 2002, they strive to modernise the movement of goods and provide supply chain participants the best on-the-go IT solutions and services. They support organisations across the globe, connecting people, goods & technology and their mission is to deliver seamless, secure, real-time data-fuelled connections that power the logistics of delivery. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Deeply involved in the intake and assessment of customer feature requests, detailed story writing, defines acceptance criteria, and provides support with sizing and estimation. Facilitate and drive solutioning, ownership of backlog grooming sessions, create user and system workflows to support user stories, specifications, map flows. Contribute to customer-focused release notes. Post go-live support. User guide creation, support documentation, and pre-launch support knowledge transfer to BAU support teams. Analyse and organize feedback, supports feature request assessment, refines requirements, and may run minor ceremonies. Develop epics & stories based on product roadmap. Supporting Product Delivery Leads in managing product backlog, sequencing, and prioritizing upcoming product work. Responsible for functional and technical user guides. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: Strong system and business analysis that assumes familiarity with Business Process Modelling, Requirements expressed as Use Cases and/or User Stories, Data Flow Analysis / Diagrams, UML Sequence Diagrams and Test Case Definition. Process Mapping experience. Ability to develop stories with the required level of detail. Experience working within Agile frameworks. Proficient in Jira. Familiarity with standard EDI formats (e.g., EDIFACT, ANSI X12, XML, JSON) and their structure. API development/integrations experience. Ability to map data fields from one system to another, ensuring compatibility and accuracy. Ability to analyse and understand the root cause of a problem. Ability to prioritize competing requests based on true business benefit. Strong experience in client management. Proven success in delivering software development projects from initiation to closure. Experience in customer and application support. Strong facilitation, communication & negotiation skills. DESIRED COMPETENCIES: Previous experience within the Supply chain industry. SQL Experience. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelors/College Degree in Computer Programming, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent. At least 8+ years of business analysis experience in a software development environment. BENEFITS: Remuneration commensurate with experience.
