Senior Business Analyst needed to join a key Finance Transformation project within a leading global energy company. 05th March, 2025 About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join a key Finance Transformation project within a leading global energy company. The focus of this role will be on improving and optimising tax processes, including tax returns, pricing policies, and GST policies. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in streamlining and automating critical business processes, and driving process improvements that will help enhance the efficiency and accuracy of finance operations. Key Responsibilities: Lead the analysis and improvement of tax-related processes, with a particular focus on tax returns, pricing policies, and GST policies. Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data extraction processes, working closely with various departments to optimize data input from multiple sources. Conduct process mapping, RACI creation, and ensure clear accountability across various business functions. Standardise and streamline existing processes to enhance performance, reduce errors, and ensure consistency. Identify and implement stop gaps to ensure smoother and more efficient processes throughout the year, preparing for tax time. Collaborate with internal teams, including in-house developers and RPA (Robotic Process Automation) teams, to automate data extraction and reporting processes. Utilise Tableau to create actionable insights and reporting dashboards, with a focus on improving decision-making and operational efficiency. Support the project scoping and delivery process, with some project management skills needed to ensure deadlines and targets are met. Key Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst, with a focus on finance process transformation. Solid experience in process mapping, RACI creation, and operational optimisation. Ability to identify opportunities for process automation, with hands-on experience in working with RPA teams or similar automation technologies. Expertise in improving data extraction and reporting processes, ideally with experience using Tableau or other reporting platforms. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and with senior stakeholders. Project management experience is an advantage, especially related to scoping, planning, and executing transformation initiatives. A background in heavier industries is preferred but not mandatory.
