Business Analyst - Fraud SNSW Grade: 7/8 - base salary range from $102,899 - $121,317 plus 11.5% superannuation and leave loadingEmployment Type: Ongoing Full-timeLocation - Haymarket, Parramatta or Gosford. In-office presence is required three days a week, with some hybrid working arrangements.This role sits within the Enterprise, Risk and Enablement Division in the Fraud Team within Service NSW About the team The team supports and enables business units to best manage fraud and corruption risks by being subject matter experts and applying this knowledge through proactive reviews, control assurance testing, being imbedded with project initiatives and the use of data to inform decisions.The team is part of a newly formed Advisory Directorate and will work in consultation with the other Privacy and Data Governance streams within the new Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of this new structure and learn new skills whilst supporting critical NSW Government initiatives to benefit individuals and businesses across NSW.Your day-to-day Responsibilities include supporting the design, delivery and continuous improvements of fraud and corruption risk assessments ensuring that the identification, analysis, evaluation and treatment of fraud risks is aligned to strategic objectives and embedded into operational activities. You will support the delivery of key initiatives across a broad portfolio of complex projects that will deliver on the Organisation's priorities. Support and monitor compliance against relevant frameworks, policies, procedures, and best practice standards including the development of reporting routines, utilising data analysis and fieldwork relevant to fraud and corruption to ensure outcomes are achieved. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: An ideal candidate for this role would have experience or understanding of working in a role advising on fraud and corruption risk, including experience in leading or supporting the design, delivery and improvement of fraud and corruption risk assessments, or transferrable skills in advising on organisational risks, undertaking audit related functions or developing and applying compliance frameworks. You bring strong written and analytical skills to the role, as well as an understanding of the key components of fraud or risk management or an ability to quickly acquire this knowledge. You have experience using data to support recommendations and drive outcomes. You work well within and across teams to support solutions for the enterprise while managing risk, and are comfortable working in an agile environment. You can cut through ambiguity to identify the facts and articulate your observations and recommendations clearly and impactfully, and thrive in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines and competing priorities.
