Business Analyst & Senior Business Analyst 06th March, 2025 Job Title : Business Analyst & Senior Business AnalystLocation : Sydney, NSWOpportunity Type : ContractRate to Candidate : Business Analyst - $700/day | Senior Business Analyst - $900/dayRole Summary : We are currently seeking two experienced Business Analysts for separate but closely aligned opportunities within a major financial institution. Both roles involve collaborating with stakeholders, refining product backlogs, and ensuring that technology applications align with business processes. These roles will focus on delivering quality outcomes through detailed analysis, design, and development work.1. Business Analyst Contract Duration : 6 monthsRate : $700/dayKey Responsibilities Capture and groom requirements into features, epics, and tasks, including dependencies Perform various types of analysis (scenario, policy, customer, data, gap, change) to define business needs Develop process models, data models, business rules, target operating models, workflows, and reporting Ensure development teams understand the value and objectives of each user story Collaborate with Product Owners to define business value and outcomes Translate end-user insights into features and tasks Lead and participate in workshops Conduct business impact assessments and user acceptance testing Support backlog implementation and domain-aligned business outcomes Ensure risk and compliance adherence while escalating issues as needed Experience Requirements 2-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst In-depth understanding of financial products, processes, and systems Experience in Australian financial services and Credit Card lifecycle Knowledge of Merchant Acquiring/EFTPOS Terminal solutions Experience working in an agile environment 2. Senior Business Analyst Contract Duration : 12 monthsRate : $900/dayKey Responsibilities Analysis & Design :Work with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into detailed program specifications Develop conceptual system designs and contribute to project estimations Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess effectiveness Development & Implementation :Design, code, test, and install applications using various programming languages and database technologies Develop and maintain system documentation Improve and enhance systems as necessary Support & Maintenance :Provide technical mentoring and guidance to junior team members Diagnose and resolve system issues Ensure compliance with security and development standards Experience Requirements 7+ years in software development, with at least 3 years in IT roles Proficiency in major programming languages (e.g., Cobol, C++, Visual Basic, .NET, SQL) Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, or DB2 Experience in the financial services industry is advantageous Strong time and resource management skills If this sounds like you- PLEASE APPLY NOW!
