About the Role As a Business Assurance & Controls Manager within the Every Day Banking Assurance Team, you’ll play a key role in helping to ensure adequate first line risk advisory support is provided to the CCPL & Wealth BU-1. As a Business Assurance & Controls Manager , you are accountable for: Preparation of bi-monthly Risk Management Forums (RMFs) and coordinating the collation of the required slides from various stakeholders & SMEs (including Product Owners, JEs, Tech Assurance, Vendor Management, Forensics etc). Preparation of monthly risk owner update packs and summarizing key insights to facilitate robust and value-add business discussions. Support annual BAU risk profiling and ongoing risk profile uplift activities. Support risk data inputs into annual product attestations and governance processes as required. Building and maintaining relationships including influencing stakeholders across CCPL products to uplift the E2E risk and control environment. Providing control objectives and compliance support (incl. support of control design) including value chain controls relied upon by the businesses. Supporting the business with HIPS related activities via review and challenge and overlaying risk and controls expertise. Supporting the business in actioning outcomes of thematic reviews and deep dives by Line 2 and 3, and other hotspots identified through trend analysis such as events management. Maintaining and managing risk data completeness and quality in NFR Hub. Coordinate and manage data for NFR Hub reporting. Risk advisory support to the Business with making informed decisions on risk management as part of BAU or PMP changes (eg. Review and challenge of NFRAs, IRF packs, Annual Product Attestations). Supporting the Business and Control Owners in developing effective controls both in the business and for the E2E risk management to manage key risks. What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Strong Operational Risk (eg. 1st Line /2nd Line) experience within Retail Business Portfolio particularly the Credit Cards and Personal Loans business. Strong collaboration across value chain stakeholders and partners including distribution, operations, digital and technology. Strong engagement with multiple product stakeholders and ability to build relationships to achieve business priorities within sound risk practices. Ability to work within tight timelines on multiple activities and prioritise tasks for successful delivery. Knowledge/Experience with product management governance policies to provide business with adequate risk advice and guidance. Good understanding of business regulatory environment and key material risks (DDO obligations, Privacy Act, CPS230, AML/CTF etc). You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
