Job Summary: Responsible as a data orientated professional to work with stakeholders – both internal and external – to understand and interpret businesses operations and identify and solution extraction capabilities for specific data points used to deliver key business insights to enable strategic and operational decision making. The Business Data Analyst is aligned to the Global MI/Data Analytics function and the role primarily focuses on data modelling, extracting data from client systems and process analysis to develop insights, Reports and Dashboards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Business Analysis • Review, interpret and identify all key business process data points to support effective analysis of business operations and/or performance• Conduct detailed analysis of key business data points and develop suitable extraction models to support insights and analysis• Draw conclusions and make recommendations on data extraction points from existing processes for raw data collation and business analysis to be conducted Data Management / Analysis • Data validation, extraction, transformation and loading (ETL)• Reviewing and improving report automation effectiveness through extensive use of Power Query, DAX, VBA, Macros, Power Pivots and Data Models• Checking reports for accuracy prior to publication• Drawing conclusions from data, identifying key trends and making recommendations• Data entry and auditing Reporting • Develop and guide others in the development for a range of reports in various formats including PowerBI, Excel and PowerPoint as requested from the Customer.• Provide recommendations to customers and other team members on informative visuals that meet business requirements in PowerBI and Excel• Reviewing and improving report automation effectiveness through extensive use of PowerBI, VBA, Macros, PowerPivot, Power Query and Data Models• Collating, analysing and preparing Management Information reports and providing any ad hoc reports requested by Directors and Managers• Publishing key reporting and key business intelligence to teams and internal stakeholders• Checking reports for accuracy and ease of user interface• Preparing Management Information reports as well as providing any ad hoc reports requested by Directors, Managers and Clients Relationship Management • Act as a key point of contact and build relationships/partnership with GP Strategies stakeholders and clients regarding the provision, maintenance and solution generation of reporting and Business Intelligence projects.• Act as point of contact for addressing operational reporting issues covering both internal and external stakeholders and driving the issues to a satisfactory outcome.
